Monday miscellany - 5Sep16

The lingering tropical system eventually coalesced into Hermine late last week, but she was nothing to us but some rain and wind, nothing more severe than a typical thunderstorm. I can certainly handle tropical systems being non-events for us.

What I've been reading... I finished _Promise of Blood_ by Brian McClellan last night, and will be starting book 2 of the Powder Mage trilogy, _The Crimson Campaign_, tonight. Definitely an enjoyable read.

What I've been crafting... I've stitched for several hours this week, and am maybe 1/3 complete with Ink Circles "Tapestry". I have the southeast corner and middle complete. It may be a stretch to finish another quadrant by next week, but we'll see.

Fumbling toward fitness... I only made it to Curves once last week, mostly because of the weather. When it's dumping rain as I leave work, I'm not very inclined to make any stops before heading home. I did do better on the treadmill, though - 227 minutes for 11.51 miles. So that's something.

One Little Victory A quiet and long Labor Day weekend has been pleasantly restful. Also, Georgia Tech won its first football game of the season, beating Boston College 17-14. I enjoy watching college football, so I'm happy that the season has started.
