WIPocalypse now - January update
The WIPocalypse is here! (Full details at Measi's link above, but basically, I'm joining many fellow stitchers in progress pics every full moon...)
Without further ado, here's the first installment.
~~~
First up is Marbek "Nativity". I started this at the end of November (1st Sunday of Advent). This is on CountryStitch Kiwi Sparkles "Pansy" 32ct Belfast, and as of last night I've put 35 hours into it.
There are a few conversions (mostly substituting Petite Treasure Braids for the charted Kreinik), but I'll provide a full list when I'm actually done.
There won't be any progress on this next update - now that the Christmas season is over, I'm setting this aside until Lent/Easter (but then I'll get a solid 3 months on it!).
~~~
Next is Chatelaine "Convent Herbal Garden". I've not stitched on this for a few months, but it should get a fair bit of attention over this coming month. I'm stitching this on a Silkweaver 32ct Lugana solo, with an estimated 13 hours in. No conversions as of yet.

Last up is a canvaswork piece - Laura J Perin's "Indian Autumn", on 18ct sandstone mono canvas.

I discovered canvaswork last year, and got hooked on it pretty quickly. It's perfect for situations when I want to stitch but don't have the light/eyesight/attention for detailed or timed work. Especially while watching football!
I should have this done by next update, and will likely have another canvas piece in progress then.
That's all for now!

Belinda, I love your Chatelaine and the Marbek is beautiful (love the fabby). Indian Autumn is simply stunning and your stitching on it is just amazing.
Love all your projects! I especially love your canvas project. It's beautiful!
It's your fault I now like canvas work - for exactly the reasons you state. Um, Thank You! LOL. I'm following your Nativity progress closely. I have the charts and it's one of my Bucket List projects. Your project proves it's still the most awesome Christmas project ever!
lovely progress and the colours on your canvas are gorgeous
Beautiful work on all fronts, but I confess partiality to the Chatelaine. :) Looking forward to watching progress on that one especially!
Gorgeous WIPs!!! I love all the colors!
The nativity pattern looks so pretty on that sparkly fabric. I can't wait to see your progress on the Chatelaine piece. SO pretty! And wow, you really should be done with the canvaswork soon! How exciting for you.
Three beautiful pieces!! Will enjoy watching the grow.
Hi Belinda
I too have started Chatelaine Convent Herbals Garden and stitched about the same as you!
It too is included in my WIPocalyse!
I bought it years ago and are only just stitching it!
Happy Stitching and I will follow your progress.

Gorgeous WIPS! Love the canvaswork - such lovely colours.
Your canvaswork is beautiful! I'm afraid I'm getting sucked into canvaswork too- bought 3 charts last time I was in the not-so-LNS and have been dying to start them. Can't wait to see your piece finished.
oh the pieces are wonderful and I love the canvas work.
Hello I'm another WIPocalypse stitcher. Just stopping by to admire your beautiful progress. Keep it up!
Wow...your stitching is beautiful! Love your needlepoint.
Looking good, Belinda! I love the canvas work. I need to stay far away from it! I can't afford another addiction (time-wise). ;)
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I look forward to following my fellow wipocalypse stitchers as well.
They all look great!
