Yesterday my daughter made cookies, with a tube of store-bought cookie dough. After baking, she served them up to the occupants of the house, with her 'secret ingredient' on top (which turned out to be 'apple pie spice'). She decided, though, that one of Mommy's cookies needed a special 'secret ingredient'....
...habanero seasoning that I'd picked up in Albuquerque on a trip last year.
It was hot, but fortunately she only used a little and it wasn't so hot I couldn't finish off the otherwise perfectly sound chocolate chip cookie.
She maintains it was payback for my giving her a slight taste of said habanero seasoning....about a month ago.
