Monday miscellany - 19Sept16

Ahoy, mateys! I haven't forgotten that it's Talk Like A Pirate Day, but as that's not something I can sustain for long, I'll resist the urge here. Although it has rained enough this afternoon that a boat might have been more appropriate than a car to get home from work.

What I've been reading... I'm on page 440 of 621 in _The Crimson Campaign_, and still quite enjoying it. McClellan does a good job of depicting soldiers at war, avoiding both extremes of glorification and gore. The use of magic has its price, and the characters are believable, with strengths and flaws. I certainly recommend it to anyone interested in military fantasy.

What I've been crafting... I've stitched a bit more on Ink Circles "Tapestry" - I'm probably at around 45%. I also did a bit of organization in my craft room.

Fumbling toward fitness... Last week was a bit of a failure fitness-wise. I only made it to Curves once, and only 178 minutes for 9.04 miles. This week may not be much better - I twisted my back somehow when cleaning my craft room, and my hip and lower back muscles are still a bit sore and stiff, so I'm going to play it safe and rest those muscles for a bit. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be good to go, but it is a little frustrating.

One Little Victory Despite the cranky back, I did manage to get a bit done in my craft room.
