The WIPocalypse is near!

Today I stumbled upon Measi's 2012 WIPocalypse stitching challenge, and decided to jump on.

Because incentives to stitch, and to blog, are always helpful.

In short, the challenge is to post stitching status and progress pics on every full moon in 2012, starting on 9 January.

Things I plan to work on in 2012:

MarBek - Nativity (which I plan on restarting on 27 November - 1st Sunday in Advent)
Chatelaine - Convent Herbal Garden (already started)
Teresa Wentzler - Needle Guardian
Needle Delight Originals - Amethyst (canvaswork)

There will probably be a couple of other counted canvas pieces in there. Not sure which of the many counted-thread pieces I have kitted will also make it on there, but I don't have to engrave the list in stone :)

But what about Passione Ricamo's "Once Upon a Time", you ask? Well, I hope to have that finished by Thanksgiving weekend. I'm at 177 hours, and coming down the home stretch.

Also, since I've been bitten by the counted canvas bug, I just finished From Nancy's Needle's "Autumn Leaves" this past weekend.

What have I been up to besides stitching? I've started going to Curves again, and lost 4.5 inches this past month. I've also stepped up to coach DD's Odyssey of the Mind team, which is out of my normal 'box', but is certainly a growth opportunity for me. So if my stitching progress seems slow, it's because there's only one of me.

Autumn Leaves is GORGEOUS! Congrats on the finish. My WIPocalypse list is...much longer than yours. =)

The list could *easily* get much longer, and probably will. Those are just the items I am absolutely certain I will work on in 2012.

It's great to see you blogging again, Belinda! Love your Autumn Leaves finish. I'm participating in the WIPocalypse, too, and I think one of my projects will be a canvaswork piece I started eons ago.

Belinda, I just love Autumn Leaves! The colors are beautiful. I'm joining the WIPocalypse, too. I only have about 4 WIPs that need finishing, but they're all big projects.

Thanks!

I've updated with a progress pic of OuaT before I pick it up for the night.

Yay! I'm glad you've joined the insanity. :)

Autumn leaves is gorgeous I love the colors.

It's good to hear that Odyssey of the Mind is still going. I remember participating in that back in elementary school. Our teams never got that far, but we had a blast.
